What Exactly Does This Cover?

At Stray Dog Strength, we stand behind the quality of our equipment with robust warranties designed to give you peace of mind and confidence in your purchase. Our lifetime warranty on welds and frames, a 1-year warranty on moving parts, and a 60-day warranty on upholstery reflect our commitment to durability and performance. While we handle warranty claims swiftly and professionally, they’re rare—because our products are built to last, even in the toughest training environments. Below we will cover what these 3 levels of our warranty mean.

Lifetime warranty on welds and frames. This means that for the lifetime of the product (by original purchaser only) we will cover the welds and frame meaning the structure of the product. So on a bench if the bolt breaks that holds the frame together we will replace that bolt or if the weld on the frame cracks we will replace the entire frame. Replacements can take 6-12 weeks or longer depending on the issue, these are handled on a case by case basis and our products are made to order, so replacements are made to order as well.

Pictured above is our Leg Extension/Leg Curl Combo Machine, this frame/welds are covered under our warranty forever, if it breaks we will replace the frame.

1 year warranty on moving parts. This means that for the 12 months following a purchase, we will cover the replacement cost and shipping cost of replacement parts that move. These parts are mostly cables and pulleys that move on machines but also cover parts such as lever or alpha arm brackets rollers, and other parts. If you have a question if your part is covered, please reach out to us.If a cable is going to fail it usually happens early or it will not happen at all unless the cables are miss treated.

Most issues that happen to machines come from installing them wrong or neglectful/harmful use and can easily be avoided by proper use and discipline. The most common and easily avoidable thing is not letting go of the cable and letting the stack crash down, this will break weight plates especially at heavy loads.

Pictured above is our ATR Lat Pull Down Unit, the cable, pulleys and weight stack are moving parts so they are covered for 1 year after placing the order for the unit. The frame of the unit is covered for life as are the welds but the pads are only covered for 60 days.

Pictured above is a stitched wear cover of our Stray Dog Strength Logo. The stitching of the logo as well as the upholstery is only covered for 60 days as they will only tear or break due to neglect.

Our Upholstery or Pads are covered for 60 days, this means that we will replace a pad and cover the shipping cost of them if the stitching comes undone in the first 60 days. The reason this is a short period of time is this does not really happen. Pads do not just break, tear or fall apart. They are all made by hand in the USA and checked for quality control. The only way pads rip or break in less than 5 years is if they are punctured by a sharp object such as a weight dropping on it, catching the pad on a spotter arm when moving the bench, sitting on the pad with a wallet or keys in your pocket, ect.

After about 5-10 years many benches in high volume facilities begin to crack where the head lays as it is a high use and stress point. That is why we make wear covers that can be applied to cover the pad up and extend the life. Wear covers are about $20 and a pad is about $150 so much cheaper to replace.

We provide replacement pads rather than recovering old ones. The main reason is safety: a torn bench pad can harbor bacteria and is one of the most dangerous surfaces in a gym. On the Alpha Bench for example each back pad has 4 tapped holes to bolt the pad to the frame and the seat has 3.

It is the responsibility of the customer to stop using equipment when it is damaged or broken to avoid injuries, at Stray Dog Strength the health and safety of athletes is our number one priority. If you have an issue please contact your sales representative or our office directly as soon as possible and fill the warranty form linked here which is also at the bottom of our website.

Once we have been notified of an issue and a claim has been filled, it is our responsibility to reach out to you and confirm what the issue is. This may require a phone or video call and or pictures of the issue to be sent so we can diagnose the issue and figure out the best course of action.

It is in our interest to solve these issues as cost effectively as possible, so if for example you have a broken spotter arm and we replace it, as long as the other spotter arm is fine we will just replace the one spotter arm not both. Unless it is a technical issue such as a broken piece of cardio, we will ship the parts out and give instructions on how to fix them. Our team is on call available for phone, video call or text support. Most of our parts such as bench pads attach with 5 screws or less and common tools or we include a install kit at each project with 1″ socket and wrenches.

Replacements take 1-12 weeks or longer depending on the issue, these are handled on a case by case basis. We make custom made to order equipment, we do not inventory the majority of our products so unless you have an issue with a basic part like a multi-grip chin up or landmine attachment we will have to create that part for you from scratch which just like for manufacturing takes 6-12 weeks. Please also account for shipping time, LTL shipments take 3-14 business days but UPS parcel shipments usually only take 3-10 business days.

For non Stray Dog Strength items such as lock jaw collars, Heavy Metal Barbells, spud inc straps or belts, Torque Sleds and any other vendor items that we have sold you, will be handled on a case by case basis. Some companies want the user to fill out the warranty information and some want the purchaser (Stray Dog Strength) to fill it out. Contact us with the warranty issue and we will work with you to address it.

Our warranty covers the equipment welds and frames for life ensuring that it will hold up for as long as the original owner has it. Similar to a car where you have to replace the tires and oil there are parts such as the plastic on bar cups and cables on machines that will not last as long as the frame but can still be replaced at a significant amount cheaper than replacing the entire machine. Often racks will hold up forever to squat bench and deadlift and are often replaced to add more features to them, not because they are broken.

If an item is not covered by warranty such as an old bench pad or cable column cable outside the warranty window, we will work with you to sell you a replacement part. We have made these replacements available on our website for two reasons, so that people can easily order them or find out the price if they cannot order online and us a PO or check system. Stray Dog Strength is committed to selling equipment that is high quality and designed to last for 15+ years in high volume environments. We will work with you to fix any products in your facility, if we cannot fix it ourselves we will connect you with someone who can.
