The ATR functional trainer was created using two ATR cable columns connected by 43″ or 72″ crossmembers which can have our multi-grip chin-up bar added to it to create a chin-up station. When connected at 43″ the Functional Trainer functions the same as a half rack when bar cups are added. Storage trays can be added to the back of these to maximize space.

All-in-One Functional Trainer

This functional trainer Stray Dog really has no competitors on the market.  Rather than the typical thin tubing that you see at commercial gyms, this machine is made with the same  3" posts as the power rack with the trolleys riding directly on the posts.  This makes the setup incredibly stable and lets me put any attachment for a 3 x 3 rack on it.  I use the GOAT attachment and dip horn on this machine to keep my power rack open for squats, presses, and lever arm movements.  The 250 lbs stacks are more than enough for any cable movement.  The trolleys slide surprisingly well and the pulleys are smooth.  You cannot adjust the cable width like you can on the typical commercial functional trainers, but the 48" width works nicely for cable flys, rear delt work, rotator cuff exercises, etc.  In my 6 months of use I have yet to find and exercise that feels "off" with the dimensions of this machine.Storage is the game-changer here.  You can check out my set up (https://straydogstrength.com/showcase/home-gym/) to see how this holds my kettlebells, cable attachments, leg rollers, hitch pins, change plates, belt and more.  There is no other option on the market that gets you high-quality cable stacks with tons of storage.
